Housewives Are More Responsible Mother Than Working Women Essay Example

Housewives Are More Responsible Mother Than Working Women Essay Example Housewives Are More Responsible Mother Than Working Women Paper Housewives Are More Responsible Mother Than Working Women Paper Housewives are more responsible mother than working women Yes because No because housewives give children the attention they need Psychologically,diet-wise and academically. Housewives can be both educated and uneducated but the fact that they spend more time with their children means that they put in a greater effort and since they are not preoccupied with their Job(read: cellphone); they pay the close attention needed to keep their children out of trouble. Think of housewives as inspectors in your home; they will make sure the foods on the table, children have done their chores/homework, will talk to the kids even when hey dont want; unlike fathers they can stroll into bedrooms at any time and check every nook-amp;-Corner so it is drug/cigarette/alcohol-free. A busy mother will be humming about worrying about the way she might lose the promotion to her professional nemesis ! Counter: Talking to your parents about paying bills and getting a promotion; makes older people feel useful and younger people(the children) feel secure that they have the family/fall-back option. That their parents can be relied on not feared; respected/ loved/kind/understanding rather than unhelpful and distant. Parents themselves feel hat children who talked to them about their problems can be trusted/leaned-on with their own. Thus [parents trust their children to be there for them in their time of need. This symbiosis throughout lifetimes is healthy and efficient for both parent/(s) and child/(children). People want to be relaxed all the time(At home AND at work) that is why all the research on work-stress is so important. The key to good health according to most research is having people around irrespective of whether they are tense or relaxed; Just having them around provides security/welfare. All this ttention can be suffocating. Children need space to grow. Traditionally housewives had many children; therefore each child had the room to grow individually and independently: Attention was divided. Now people have fewer children and mothers can be overly involved in their little ones lives. Making it difficult for children to develop useful skills of independence; required to ultimately stand on their own feet, make friends etc. When they grow up they will probably rely on their mothers to pay their bills, they will call mummy from work if they cant get that promotion! they will robably be inseparable from their mothers; causing stress to people. A housewife is usually busy tending to the house or doing the more practical Jobs of raising children, such as feeding them, rather than actually spending time with them and being loving/affectionate. If they come home from work, they will want to spend that time relaxing and being in a positive mood. usewives are more responsible mother than working women housewives are friends with their children Friends come and go ; family sticks but not always. Mothers(those who were with you best friends who wont cheat on you with your boyfriend; who wont be Jealous of our achievements and who will motivate you to chase your dreams with full fervor. Especially when they are not ambitious career women themselves. counter: career women generally set great examples for daughters but not sons unless their husbands have equally strong/stronger personalities. If the father is resentful of his wifes success/Job; and complains every time he is with the kids then both daughters and sons pay. Then again different people react different; high pressure can bring out the best results in some people and the worst in others. Its best that the mother ho knows best (for her kids) spends enough time with them to know what will work for each one. counter: Yes; housewives can/do lose their temper but not any more than the-emotionally-detached-ambitious-career-obsessed-father who doesnt wish to be disturbed at all times and orders the kids be taken away, put to sleep and/or fed all the time. Only a housewife can put with such a terrible caricature of a husband/father while a career-woman will probably do the same leaving children to their nannies and so forth. Working mothers take out their workplace stress on their children. They do not have time or energy for them. They are mothers in name only. Housewives only have relationships to interfere in; and mothers can be very competitive career-women or not. They can be Jealous of your youth/freedom/beauty/ intelligence/career/anything? nd mothers can expect you to nurture them or your siblings instead of going for selfish pursuits. And since they dont have their own careers housewives are at times; intent on inadvertently spoiling their daughters careers. Its like teachers whoVe failed in their subject of teaching; they could either help you thwart all the mistakes they made; making sure you succeed with all their ight or AND sadly this is what happens most of the time theyll bring you down harder than ever because they suffered. Career women using the same analogy can be like teachers who succeeded. Who wont only stop you from making mistakes , but teach you the tricks of the trade. The sneak-peaks,cheats and all the learning/ growing/success-aides theyve picked on their way up; high up. Even self-involved career women teach by example. Daughters want to develop the same work-ethic, get the same respect and tend to value achievement. Housewives work hard too with their domestic tasks, and are often overworked and in bad moods. The child is the first available target of this hostility, especially if they are underfoot/in the way of the work needing to be done. ounter to second counter: Housewives(especially socialites) are very capable of leaving/disposing tots to the nanny. ousewives are more responsible mother than working women working mothers are earning enough money to support their children At times; rather most of the time children of poor working mothers become too free/ independent ; getting involved in criminal activities and other immoral indulgences that they would no t get way with on a 24-hour house-mother watch. Children get neglected and therefore; self-pitying amp; spoiled. Many families will not earn enough money to properly support their children if the mother doesnt work, especially a single mother. Even if the father earns enough money for them to live on, the child will live more comfortably if the mother is earning a wage too. housewives daughters need good role models And whos to say a housewife cannot be a good role model? Housewives can be well-educated; good-looking and put-together. And many are. Running a home/family is no easy task and can be very fulfilling; if you do it right. I could not imagine a better role model than that of a present, loving, capable and devoted mother. Daughters need to know that motherhood is a choice and a huge responsibility. Being accountable for ones choices is a sign of dignity and maturity. Putting children on the backburning for personal desires is an injustice. That is why working moms feel bad about leaving their children. Deep down the truth hurts. Daughters need to know that women can be powerful and aspire to good careers, and that this doesnt mean they cant also have children. Their mother is the example hey will see the most and will learn to copy from an early age. housewives are more responsible mother than working women Adjustment results from exposure to other people. A housewife can have many house guests frequently frequenting her home. Children are therefore exposed to many people and have to learn to adjust/socialize in such an environment. Many offspring recite poems, sing songs and otherwise perform for these guests. However, a home with a housewife can be very lonely; while privacy is hard to come by. Some mothers treat children like nothing more than sounding boards. Where friends/family can walk away or fault them ; children have to listen at least until theyre teenagersAlternatively a home run by career woman can be full or empty too. A career woman could, out of the guilt of being a working mother; feel the need to smother her child every chance she gets; making sure the child is not surrounded by strangers. Leaving him/her very incapable of social development/ adjustment. Working mothers can overcompensate by being overprotective and somehow suffocating for their child/children. When a woman is working; her child has got to learn how to adjust with different eople and surroundings; but some kids cannot spend a minute without their moms. mamas boys or girls A woman can be educated and uneducated. She could be working before her marriage. All of this depends on her personality.

Various Aspects Relating to the Balanced Meal

Various Aspects Relating to the Balanced Meal Introduction Most people love to consume their favorite meals from time to time. However, there is the need to evaluate a meal in terms of its nutrients. It is advisable to take a meal that comprises of a balanced diet. Thus, an individual is expected to incorporate, protein, vitamins, carbohydrate and fiber in their diet.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Various Aspects Relating to the Balanced Meal specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More One of the best meals that meet all the above requirements encompasses Ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, peach pie and Folgers coffee. Thus, a person can be confident of having consumed a balanced diet if they consume a meal encompassing the above foods. This write up highlights various aspects relating to the above foods. Methods of production Ribeye steaks can be locally obtained from Rock Springs, Wyoming. Purchases are done by making an order. Ribeye steak is produced by entr epreneurs who sell ready meat to the local outlets. Rearing of beef animals requires a farmer to have massive pieces of land so that there is a constant supply of animal feed. In some instance, overgrazing can cause degradation of the land. If animal waste is not managed properly during livestock operations, it can contribute to water contamination (Gauldie, 1981). Folgers coffee is grown on large farms, harvested at maturity and transferred to processing factories. The steps that are involved in its preparation include; fermentation, shelling and drying. It is then classified into; classical roasts, flavored coffee, instant coffee, home cafe and cappuccino. This coffee is also locally available. Green beans are grown for their flavor, flesh and sweet pods. Cultivation of the same is done in greenhouses. This ensures that the growing conditions are controlled to maximum yields. Furthermore, locally grown Green beans have a good taste compared to the imported ones. Mashed potatoes ob tained from the local market are inexpensive when compared to those obtained from other regions of the world (New cook book, 2005). This is because the cost of production and distribution is low. Therefore, it is preferable to obtained potatoes locally rather than importing the same.Advertising Looking for essay on health medicine? Let's see if we can help you! This is then followed by topping up and finally baking in an oven. Baking is done, and the product is removed from the oven once it turns golden. It is then allowed to cool before being sliced. Processing and packaging Ribeye steak is extremely flavorful and tender. Good quality Ribeye steak is prepared by grilling with pepper, salt and garlic powder. It is then processed by pan searing for two minutes on both side s in a skillet at high temperatures; this helps in locking juices that contribute to flavor. Beef obtained from the rib steak is grilled and boiled for seven minutes to produce remarkable quality Ribeye steak. The normal color of stored Ribeye should remain purplish-red. Processed Ribeye steak is vacuum packed using aluminum foils (North American Meat Processors Association, 2007). Green beans are stored inside plastic packages and placed in refrigerators but, they must be prepared and consumed within five days (North American Meat Processors Association, 2007). Alternatively, the processing of green beans can involve blanching, canning, and freeze storing. In most cases, green beans are prepared by boiling and stir-frying. Further, mashed potatoes are peeled and sliced prior to cooking using high temperature short time combinations. On the other hand, peach pie is a baked, cooled and sliced before being wrapped in plastic bags. Likewise, Folgers coffee is prepared by boiling water and mixing it with sugar and instant Folgers coffee. Substitutes Ribeye steaks can be substituted with cheese steaks. Substitutes for mashed potatoes include; cauliflower, turnips, rutabagas and celeriac. The most appropriate substitute to green beans is long beans. Long beans hold up heat well and retain crisps on the inside making them ideal in the preparation of stir-fries. The substitute for Folgers coffee can be other beverages such as chocolate and tea. Economic advantages and disadvantages of the meal The greatest economic advantage of Ribeye steak is that, it is served in smaller sizes than the average steak sold in restaurants and supermarkets. However, Ribeye steak has soaring cholesterol levels. Mashed potatoes are rich in dietary fiber and sodium.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Various Aspects Relating to the Balanced Meal specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Besides, they are rich sources of starches, prot eins and vitamins (Wilson, 2009). Green beans are good sources of calcium, potassium and dietary fiber. Additionally, they have high amounts of vitamin A. Ecological advantages and disadvantages Proper usage of unproductive land involves rearing beef animals. The remains of animals are used as manure in farms. There is the likelihood that soil fertility is improved through the use of animal manure. Growing of peaches, green bean, and Folgers coffee depletes soil nutrients. However, this can be improved by the use of nitrogenous fertilizers. Moreover, processing of the above product involves the production of wastes that pollute the environment. A positive attribute to this is the purification of gases by plants. Systems associated with production of Ribeye steaks leads to increased carbon dioxide cases. This leads to global warming. Besides, complaints concerning obesity have been raised as a result of meat products. Impact of food purchases on environment Increased agricultural act ivities contribute to climate change. Waste food in landfills contributes to about 2% of green house emissions. High concentrations of chemicals in landfills find their way to the surrounding water sources causing pollution (Harrison, Cheyney, Overstreet, Towns Stetzer, 2008). Lastly, food manufacturing is a serious emitter of greenhouse gases that cause environmental degradation all over the world. When land alteration and broad food structure are taken into account, the entire contribution of food possibly will be as high as 30%. This implies that the long-term consequences of climate change, food manufacturing and production must turn to be tough to climate and low-carbon sustainability. Change of choices with time Food purchasing power is influenced by the income levels of consumers. Production and marketing processes should be cost effective to reduce the cost on the ultimate consumer. Emerging concerns over fitness and health will also influence food choices in the future. On es ethnic and cultural background will dictate their food choices (North American Meat Processors Association, 2007).Advertising Looking for essay on health medicine? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More Individuals are aware of the impact of some of the processes involving food processing. There is the likelihood that people will boycott products that pollute the surroundings. Therefore, people are cautions on the food that they consume. This has affected purchasing and consumption patterns of most consumers. People prefer foods that do not harm them and their environment. References Gauldie, R. (1981). Capacitance (Timing Circuits) Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Capacitance (Timing Circuits) - Essay Example For capacitance derived unit is useful for expressing the charge (unit of charge is Coulombs)that can be transferred to an object per unit of voltage ( unit of voltage is in Volts) and thus a unit which we got from this ratio is known as Farad. Each capacitor having two parallel plates and will have capacitance equal to  8.85 Ï F/m, times the area of one of the plates, divided by the distance between them. When sharing the charge applied to one capacitor with a second capacitor, charge is conserved, therefore Vf * (C1 + C2) = Vi * C1. When discharging a capacitor through a resistor, V(t) = V0 * e-t/RC. When charging a capacitor through a resistor, V(t) = Vf – Vf * e-t/RC (â€Å"Courseworkbank†). In timing circuits there are two possibilities either we are controlling the rate of response of the capacitor or controlling the rate of voltage across the capacitor. If a series combination of a resistor and capacitor are present such type of circuit is simplest timing circuit. The amount of time to charge the capacitor to 63% of the input voltage as well as it is equal to the resistance times the capacitance is known as time constant T=RC.Varying the values of resistance and capacitance ultimately results in time ranging from microseconds to weeks. The important characteristics of capacitor are: This timer circuit is similar to the 5 to 30 minute timer except that when switch S1 is closed, the on/off action of the circuit will continue indefinitely until S1 is opened again. A 7555 time and low leakage type capacitor for C1 must be used. The 6 way rotary switch S3 adds extra resistance in series to the timing chain with each rotation, minimum resistance point "a" maximum point "f". The 7555 is wired as an equal mark/space ratio oscillator, the timing resistor chain R1 to R6, being connected back to the output of the timer at pin 3.The output pulse duration is defined

Global Warming Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3250 words

Global Warming - Research Paper Example As the paper stresses recent temperature readings worldwide indicate a rapid increase in the temperature of the earth’s surface witnessed during the past century. The information excludes potential causers of the rise in temperature such as the urban heat island effect. The data show a rapid warming trend, especially during the past 30 years. The surface temperature data rhyme with other evidence of warming, for example the shrinking mountain glaciers, evidence of the decreasing polar ice cover, and the increasing ocean temperatures. Extensive research has been done to answer the question as to whether the witnessed warming trend is usual or whether it is due to the 20th century breakdown, which comes with the â€Å"accumulation of excess green house gases† in the atmosphere of the earth. As the discussion explores global warming happens naturally because the climate continuously changes over time. As such, the earth’s rotation gradually increases the sunlight intensity as the earth rotates closer to the sun. The sun acts as the main source of energy to earth. The output of the sun’s energy is constant. However, even the smallest of changes over time leads to climatic changes. Other factors such as slow or fast changes in the orbit of the earth changes the normal distribution of the sun’s energy across the planet, which leads to long term fluctuations of climate such as ice ages. Therefore, scientist cannot say that the sun’s output causes global warming, especially because there has not been an increase in the sun’s output in the last 30 years.

Types of Terrorism Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Types of Terrorism - Case Study Example Terrorism is characterised by use of violence indiscriminatively against civilians with intensions of gaining publicity of cause for individuals or groups. Bioterrorism is a kind of terrorism that involves the dessemination of any bioplogical agent, in its natural or modified human form and that agent has anadverse effect on the health of individuals. The biological agents here may include but not limited to bacteria, bacterial toxins, fungal toxins and viruses. This are sometimeds descrinbed as biological weapons and have been used in warefare in manay nations incliuding the United States of America. Bioterrorism is one of the most attractive weapon for terrorism because it consist mainly of the biological agents and hence less expensive dispite the fact that it causes wide spread panic and fear as well as the actual physical damages that they cause to the body. Bioterrorism has a wider and undiscriminatory impact if applied in millitary or warfare. Because of these reasons therefor e the use of biological agents may only be useful in terrorism. As observed by Guillemin (2001), the use of biological agents have wide range of limitations for their use in war since it effectsis experienced passsed the target groups and individuals. It is not possible to dissminate the biological agents such that only the enemy is affected and in most instances, even the friendly forces are affected by the biolofgical agent (Guillemin, 2001). It is therefore useful for the terrorits due to the ease of creating mass panicx as well as disrupting the society and their activities. As warned by Fong & Alibek (2009), there is potential power that the results and advanccements in genetic engineering is palcing on the hands of the terrorists in the future. In his study he has also indicated that the genetic technology would benefit the terrorists more thn it would benefit its intensions in the future. Bioterrorism also includes also those aspects of the use of bioloical agents to disriupt a wider range of the society and the peole living in the society. This does not mean that it must result into the deaths of the peole but it may result into wider impact on the economy in terms of economic losses and other impacts. For example, in the year 2001 and the year 2007, the United kingdom witnessed the a wide outbreak and spread of the foot and mouth disease. While this did not infect the humans, it resulted into serious econnomic damages as well as public concerns and panic. Bioterrorism therefore includes both the aspects economy as well as the health of individual populations and the impacts such as panic, infections or deaths. Bioterrorism is also different from natural outbreak. This is because the natural outbreaks are not engineered by anybody but occur naturally while bioterrorism includes the use of biological gagents that are directed towards an individual or poipulation. Anthrax oubreak is one of the impacts of the biological agents used in bioterrorism in many nations. Anthrax is caused by a spore forming bacterium known as Bacillus anthracis. It is non contagious and hence transmissiom from one individual to the other through contacts is not very easy. Bacillus anthracis was first use in biological warfare in in germana when the German working stafs were supplied with the anthrax bacterium and used it against the Russian Army in Finland (Guillemin, 2010). The most recent attack and outbreak

My Dream House Essay Example for Free

My Dream House Essay Good afternoon everyone. Does anybody have their own dream house? Well, I have. Nowadays, most people have their own houses. The house I want to be my won would make me feel comfortable with a big hall, my own bedroom and a front garden that is full of flowers. My dream house’s interior design will be carefully planned. I would like to have a spacious hall since it is the first place visitors will see as they come in through the front door. There would be unique art designed posters on the wall. On the left hand side of the hall there would be a glass cupboard with my collection of diamonds in it and on the right hand side of the hall there would be my photos during my childhood. At the end of the hall, there would be a staircase leading upstairs. One the next floor, there would be my own bedroom. My bedroom would reflect my inner world and privacy so it would be painted light purple. My view is that light purple is the colour that represents my feelings of harmony and peace. I can say that the interior design of my house is like my spiritual world so I’d decorate it in such a way that all the rooms will be painted in different colours would symbolize my true feelings. Light pink would make me feel happy and light blue would make me remember happy memories. An air-conditioned television room would be next to my bedroom. In the television room, there would be a big and soft sofa so that I can watch television comfortably after my activities. The outer design of my dream house should be attractive. I desire to have a magnificent front garden outside my house. The front garden should be full of flowers and fruit trees. I would plant orchids and roses. When I am in a bad mood or when I am angry of something, my anger will be lessen after looking at those beautiful flowers and smelling their fragrance. Place that we spend our life is very significant because our moods are affected by the design and the location. If we live in a place filled with noise and air pollution, our feelings would become negative. Staying in my dream house would make me live with peace of mind. Thank you.

Grendel the Existentialist Monster :: Grendel Essays

Grendel the Existentialist Monster The monster Grendel is the ironic eye through which the action is viewed and from this perspective he provides the reader with never-ending examples of buffoonery and self-parody. Often his claims reveal the Sartrean component in his makeup: "I create the whole universe, blink by blink"(Gardner 22). Gardner,of course, wants to make a point here about solipsism. There is more to the objective world than Grendel's ego. Naturally the universe still exists when Grendel closes his eyes. Likewise, when Grendel says "I observe myself observing what I observe", (Gardner 29) ,he reminds us of Sartre's view of the self-reflective nature of consciousness. As he said in his interview, Gardner planned to parody Sartre's ideas in Being and Nothingess in these sections of the novel. When Grendel says "then I am not that which observes! I am lack. Alack. "(Gardner 29) he plays on the French verb manquer(to lack) that Sartre uses in his description of the lacking quality of consciousness. This ability to observe his observing is a clue to the philosophical underpinnings of the early chapters. Gardner's irony should be crystal clear--Grendel is amusing himself with Sartre's phenomenology. Now what is the reader to make of all this? A brief summary of Sartre's description of consciousness may help. According toSartre man exists on the level of being-in-itself(as a body in a world of objects) and on the level of being-for-itself(consciousness ). The key to understanding Grendel's view of the world is this distinction between the in-itself and the for-itself.Since, for Sartre, being-in-itself is uncreated(he can find no evidence of a creating God) and superfluous("de trop"), it reveals itself as a sort of absurd, meaningless outer reality. But being-for-itself, on the other hand, is the awareness that consciousness is not the being of the in-itself. Its being is revealed in a more paradoxical way-- as an emptiness in the center of being. How can it be aware of itself as an object?Impossible says Sartre. Simply put, the for-itself is the absence or the lack(thus Grendel's "lack") of the objectness of the in-itself . It reveals itself as the nothingness that remains when y ou realize that your consciousness is not an awareness of an object(such as your body), but rather an awareness of the lack of an object; or,to put it another way, it is an awareness of a nihilated presence.Grendel is proof that only an
